I also play on Linux, and have experienced periodic crashes over the last month or so. Let me know if I can help test this. I think it has always happened while I've had the upgrade details dialog open. This is the window that shows how a ship will improve after an upgrade. |

Just saw this, sorry for missing it. That is DEEP in the rendering stack of unity, and not something we can directly mess with. I would suggest it is a bug in these builds of unity, and it's probably only in either Vulcan or OpenGL, not in both. So whichever one you're on, I'd suggest switching to the other. |
