Summary0027635: Zombiefication does not seem to work right on stacks
DescriptionI am not sure if stacks really are the root cause or if something else is going wrong but if you move the Botnet Golem (hotkey 1) in the save to Lake you'll see several stacks of snipers pop out of the guard post next to the wormhole, the Botnet shoots them and takes one off every stack but no zombies are generated. After repeated shots an occasional zombie may pop up.

I don't think it's limited to snipers, in a previous game I had the same result when different types of guard ships popped out of a guard post and the botnet started hosing them down.

If a ship dies in a single shot, and didn't already have enough zombification points prior to that shot, it won't turn into a zombie. Since snipers are very fragile i suspect this is whats happening. Basically the shot that kills a ship doesn't get a chance to apply its zombification before death.

Sounds plausible, might be worth looking at the Necromancy effect too since it's also a threshold on death thing.

Come to think of it, the Botnet has a 100x multishot, it'd be logical if it just destroyed all the ships in those stacks since it would have enough attacks to hit all of them.

I've been playing with a botnet in my latest game and this issue definitely does seem to be worse than it used to be.

Actually testing this in chamber got really strange, I've opened a separate ticket. But I'll note here since it's directly applicable that shooting at single targets that don't have enough health to survive one shot, and don't have zombification damage, still produces a zombie.
