Summary0009031: Stinging Nettles too short to see
DescriptionI understand that the nettles can't be gigantic, but at the same time they should still be visible, right? Please do something to make it so that the nettles are clearly visible. As it is, it's possible to have a bunch of nettles on a slope completely invisible. They're shorter than the layer of grass on top of the platform.

Maybe just make them in colour that rapes eyes, like... violet?

It's possible to 'miss' stinging nettles with bg destroying spells because of this as some of them are essentially invisible so that 100% cleared out and say 95% cleared out can look exactly the same. You'll only know it was the latter if you step on one.

I was getting at this with issue 0009050: How about if the Nettles were placed on the visual level "in front of" everything else (with the possible exception of monsters and/or players)? This would include placing them in front of the grass.

A fancier solution would be to have the grass not draw where the nettles are (or some kind of a "withered grass" drawing where the nettles are), which sort of makes sense: the weeds choke out the grass, and keep it from growing there.

@wyvern83: The one time I encountered nettles (many being too short to see), I dealt with them by constantly firing entropic whip at the ground in front of me, before I walked there. As you can imagine, it was really tedious; I ended up just storm dash + double jumping clear out of the area where they were growing.

@Pyrrhic: I tried using flamethrower to do the same thing and somehow I'd discover I'd missed some when coming back through the area later. I fully agree that it's tedious to get rid of and if I don't plan on using the area often I'll just storm dash + double/triple jump over it instead as well.

The "withered grass" idea is a nice one. If I recall correctly nettles only show up in regions where the grass is green more or less.
