Summary | 0002940: <.<... >.>... >.<... Enclave Starships should probobly be immune cloaking.
Description | Okay, I've been holding this one in as long as I can. Cloak Starship+Enclave Starship+Autobombs/Nanoswarms(or other neinzul) is very, very, very wrong. Much as blade spawners was. And probably needs to receive the same treatment. Actually, most wrong is Autobombs+Nanoswarms+Enclave+Cloaker Starship. *giggles* <.< Yeah...

Can you elaborate? I don't see what's broken about this. You put the Enclaves on an enemy planet with Cloak Starships and mass spam autobombs? |
|
The Cloaked Enclave ship can build units while cloaked. As a result, the AI can't stop an endless stream of ships from attacking. Suicide ships that are powerful, cheap, and fast to build are extremely powerful with this technique. This problem was as big before because the Enclave had no build multiplier, so it built pretty slow, and to improve its speed you needed Engineer IIIs, but they lost their cloaking when assisting so there was SOME vulnerability to the setup. Now the Enclave has an inherent build multiplier so you don't need the Engineer IIIs. |

For 5.037: * Now when a unit is actively making progress on a build queue it loses the ability to be cloaked until 2 seconds after the last build queue activity. ** Notably, this prevents neinzul enclave starships from spamming a planet with drones (and whatever else) with impunity. Can still FRD built non-drones through a wormhole to a target planet, though, and that's fine. ** Also this will break the cloak on modular ships that are building new modules, but since modules mostly can't die in combat anymore (except shield modules) and their internal build queue is disabled while they're in low-power mode, and if they're not in low-power mode and they're on an enemy planet they've probably lost cloak due to shooting at something... all told, shouldn't be a big change for them. Thanks :) |
