Summary0028716: Weird-feeling inconsistency with which small/ruined buildings we're allowed to flamethrower
DescriptionSome small or surprisingly large ruined buildings burn in a large AoE when using flamethrower, but then others don't.

It's not clear why these aren't valid targets, although anecdotally holding ctrl-click on those buildings usually has them contain a hostile cult presence or a large amount of gang presence. That's obviously not the only reason though, because sometimes we're allowed to flame those too.

While it's not exactly a big issue, it might be more appropriate if we were allowed to flame these buildings, but then (weak? on fire?) hostile units would pour out of them in a similar manner to drone demolition of buildings.

Screenshot shows three identical looking buildings, two of which are valid to flame and one of which isn't.

For now I'm not getting into that, but it's also a lot less noticeable since the flamethrower is now an area attack:

* The flamethrower has been entirely reimagined.
** Rather than being something you awkwardly target, it hits a wider range, and hits EVERYTHING in that range, for a whopping 5 ME.
** Its use in combat is semi-limited, but that was kind of always the idea. For clearing an area of small buildings, it is very effective.
** This ability also now causes alarms in military bases if it strikes units inside them.
** It also does a little popup saying how many units you set on fire, how many buildings you burned down, and how many people you unhomed.
** Visually and aurally, it's a lot more powerful-sounding, too.
