Summary0028031: AI Overlord, AI Overlord Phase 2, and Galactic Control Ship should block Ceasefires
DescriptionThe Zenith Trader imposes ceasefires wherever it goes. I've noticed that dire guard posts block ceasefires, but AI Overlords (both phases) and the Galactic Control Ships do not. Which means that the Zenith Trader could stop you from attacking the AI Overlord/Galactic Control Ship as it moves towards your homeworld. Amusingly, the Zenith trader can't stop you from damaging dire guard posts but as soon as you destroy the last one, the Zenith trader can stop you from firing on the AI Overlord. Frankly, the Zenith trader should not impact your fight against the AI overlords. It needs to butt out.

Likewise, the Human Homeworld (and the Core variant) also does not block ceasefires. I'm thinking it should, so that the player can always fend off threats or immediately face doom; else the threats build up and will destroy the player once the Zenith trader leaves. Perhaps there could be a checkbox for this.

Of the other factions, I'm aware that the Devourer golem can always eat the Zenith trader. The Chromatic Horror also stops ceasefires. The Nanocaust hives and centers, however, should break ceasefires. Why wouldn't they try to attack and destroy the Zenith trader?

I'm unsure about the Necromancer, but I'm thinking that all Phylacteries and Necropolis should block ceasefires, in the weird case that you decided to bring a Zenith trader into a Necromancer game. Nothing like trying to destroy AI waves when a trader is parking on your necropolis. How rude. (and again, maybe a checkbox for this)

I disagree. This kind of thing should be mod territory at this point, and I think the cease-fire is part of what the Trader does. I don't think exceptions like this should be made to it.

I guess it would be too much to have every single one of these to break the cease-fire. But at the very least, it doesn't make sense for AI Overlord (Phase 2) or the Galactic Control Ship to be affected by a ceasefire when the dire guard posts block the ceasefire.

Unless the Zenith Trader was meant to screw the player over by giving the GCS or AI Overlord Phase 2 time to regenerate shields as they move towards the player's homeworld. Peace.
