Summary0028001: Crash during game load "Finalize Weapons Buffers" on Ubuntu 22.04
DescriptionOn launch, the game freezes during the "Finalize Weapons Buffers" step and hangs.

I am running Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS 64-bit with GNOME 42.9 on X11. My computer is a AMD Ryzen threadripper 3970x 32-core processor x 64 with a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080.

I have tried booting with both OpenGL and in Vulkan.

I played successfully this morning, and do not believe I have downloaded an update for the game.

I ran "Verify integrity of game files", and the issue persisted.

I dropped back to the previous version, and the issue persisted. (Changing back to the current version had no effect as well)

I checked the game files and couldn't find any logs - are startup logs possibly stored somewhere so I can add them?

I don't think this was an issue with AI War 2, but an issue with my machine. The issue happened on multiple other games, both Arcen games and non-Arcen.

I launched the game manually rather than through Steam and the issue resolved.

(You can probably safely close this issue)

Sounds like it might be with the steam overlay injection if it's happening with a lot of games. Might be able to roll back your version of steam if the latest one is problematic. But I'm glad that's solved! Thanks for the update.
