Summary | 0027530: Deathgrip Tackle Drones Damage Needs A Small Nerf
Description | Carrying this over from the discord discussion. Multiple people have brought it up and commented that deathgrip tackle drones have absurdly high dps compared to the majority of strikecraft (and these are drones, whereas the frigate which launches them also can attack). At mark 7, they have a base 945 dps, fire 5 shots per volley, and have a 6 times (!!) multiplier to anything that is tractored (so the main thing they are shooting at, which they have 33 tractor beams for). The multiplier is the same across all mark levels, for the record. In my opinion, their raw damage output definitely needs some kind of nerf across all mark levels. Perhaps just a drop of 10 base damage at mk1, and possibly have the damage multiplier change per mark (up to the current multiplier at max mark). Zironic and Pyretta specifically have noted that these things alone are usually the highest damage dealers out of all of their fleets (including frigates). It honestly feels like when these were implemented, the stats were made without keeping the default strikecraft multiplier in mind; thus causing them to outperform and scale harder than most other strikecraft.
