| Description | After having angered a Sphere by empowering it I speed time up with the UI button to wait out the amount of time I had to keep a fleet around on a MDC planet. Attempting to use the keyboard shortcuts to slow it back down resulted in the text for game speed setting going down but the actual game sim speed and game clock remaining at 500%. The issue persisted after reloading the entire game and loading the save back up. I can repeatedly click on the speed up button on the UI itself with the mouse before resuming the game and the keyboard shortcut has no actual impact on game speed. | ||||

Did not reproduce for me. I loaded the save, was in paused state so i unpaused, then using clicks on the ui increased speed to 5x. Paused game and watched the sim % value in tooltip for the clock as i pressed minus key (tried both of them, numlock on and off), and saw nothing unexpected. The sim % value for example, showed at 350% while at 3.5x speed. Upon unpausing the game continued at the expected speed. Is it possible that you ended up accidentally having ctrl held at some point such that you had a movement speed multiplier value different from the sim-speed? That is not the case in the save, just reaching for ideas. |
