I'd start with doing a verification of the local steam files. There shouldn't have been anything in that update that would have contributed to this. It looks like your machine is fairly overloaded on at least the metal flows thread, which was running for a super long time. The other threads in your report there all were doing fine from the look of things. |
oddly enough, pausing the game seems to briefly fix it? |
Those aren't supposed to run when paused, so it just doesn't have anything to report during that time. |
This seems to have fixed the problem, thank you |

I apologize for reopening a closed issue, but it is related. Whenever i change mods from the game (only using mods built into the game and enabled via mod settings page) i get this issue again unless i verify the files. this happens every time i change a mod in or out. |
If you close the game after changing mods, and then reopen it, does that also work? |
I've seen this same issue, it reproduced for me following lord of nothing's instructions when he was looking into it just the other day. Restarting the game does stop the issue. It occurs after changing mods in-game without a restart. |

Thanks! * Fixed a really complex issue with the long-range-planning threads that could see a couple of them potentially running at the same time when they should not have (this is not for certain), and which definitely could see some of them not running at all at other times (this is certain). ** The latter case was most easily triggered by changing mods or dlc around and then playing the game after that without first restarting the game. This was manifesting as "a bunch of inactive threads" warning. |
