| Description | Note in screenshot how hard it is to distinguish the friendly planet metal production versus others. Yea i have a blue color not dramatically different from one of the ais too, but in comparison to the 'normal' galaxy view in second screenshot its much less clear. | ||||

I think the intent was to show them as the colour of the Metal resource. I think making it the faction colour might be confusing |

Turns out this actually uses the Faction Filter... A lot of other galaxy modes don't, and of all the ones to use it, this one seems counter productive to do so. After all there are only two types of things that produce metal that the player ever cares about: My own metal production, and unclaimed metal production. Screenshots posted show what it looks like currently with the default most people are going to have as Faction Filter "All Factions" in the first image, and what it looks like with your own faction selected. IMO the second one is much more useful. Suggestion: Instead of trying to obey the Faction Filter, for the Metal Production mode, always show what you currently see with "Your Faction" selected. |
