Summary0026484: Battlestation built turret that slowly steals science from the planet
DescriptionThe economy of science (and hacking for that matter) feels a bit too stiff since it is mostly tied to forced AIP increases.

If the Battlestations could build a turret on a planet that steals science slowly, without having to destroy the command center on the planet (which increases AIP), this may help alleviate the science stall that happens mid game.

That sounds extremely OP for the player. You just turn on some minor faction that kills command staitons (say an intensity 1 marauders) and then go around harvesting all the science.

I agree with Badger in this case. I also think the described 'stiffness' of the economy is intentional. It rewards strategic investment of resources that you can't just get more of in a trivial way.

Actually, this idea is even more OP because you don't need to kill the command station. If you want almost endless free science just use cmd:science,2000. Otherwise I can see no way to balance this idea
