| Description | I'm honestly not sure. Difficulty 8, and there is already 460 threat, so effectively 2200 strength plows into the player. This is two hours in, and it feels a bit strong for then. That said, I don't want to overly nerf the game, so I'm hesitant to make changes just yet. | ||||

This giant CPA was caused by setting the "Tsunami CPA Strength Modifier" in Galaxy Wide options The default is 40, the player moved it to 5. As the tooltip says, "Lower numbers allow the CPA to use more ships" Thanks to Puffin for figuring this out |

* The "Tsunami CPA Strength Modifier" has been renamed to "Tsunami CPA Strength Divisor" ** Also, it's description has been updated: This is an experimental setting to allow players to change the strength of CPAs; Lower numbers allow the CPA to use more ships, making them much more powerful. The default is 40, and going substantially below 20 will probably result in instant death. ** Finally, if this value is set below 30, it now shows this message in the chat log, in red, when the CPA is launched: "Your tsunami cost multiplier is set to the low value of X -- enjoy death." ** If you need to correct this value, it's under AI Behavior, and you can change it during the game. 40 is suggested unless you are expert mode or up, in which case 30 is enforced. ** Thanks to dEAdOnE77, our accidental guinea pig who had this on 5, and to Puffin for figuring out what was going on. |
