DescriptionThe CTD occurred during normal gameplay on normal settings, albeit in a 120 map with lots of "roguelike" features enabled, like a hidden map.

There were no other errors reported in the session and the regular debug log is clean. Attaching the unity player log.

However, this isn't really giving much in the way of details. Most of the code for the game is in mono, so shouldn't be able to cause a crash of this sort unless there's a bug in mono (it happens). The other parts of the code are still in mono, but call into native code kind of directly (networking and GPU mostly, but also the steam and GOG wrappers), and they're usually where I look first.

At the moment I don't see anything that's an obvious smoking gun, and funlockfile is just the game program letting go of some file it was writing to (debug log? Not sure.). All of our debug logging happens from the main thread in a scheduled way (background threads write to an intermediate collection that the main thread then picks up later), so I can't really see it being that specifically.

These ones are always the worst sort of puzzle. I do see some other folks with other unity games having various similar issues, but most of them are signo:11 code:1 rather than code:2. And most of them have more of a stack trace for some reason. For the moment, I'm at a loss.

One thing, is I wonder how Vulkan might do instead of OpenGL?

Also, I am upgrading the unity version, but I am not sure that it will help. We'll see.

** Most of the fixes that are in the new version don't seem relevant, but there are some crashes that they did fix which were supposedly editor-only or related to certain platforms, and there's a chance that those also fix things for the rare CTDs that some folks have been seeing in AI War 2 on linux lately.
** Fixes that do seem to be of note:
*** UI: Fixed an invalid memory access issue. https://issuetracker.unity3d.com/issues/crash-when-entering-play-mode-and-serializing-data-after-modifying-script
*** Kernel: Fixed Application.targetFrameRate to not cause jitter in Time.deltaTime measurements: https://issuetracker.unity3d.com/issues/uwp-application-dot-targetframerate-doesnt-work-when-building-in-uwp

I found and fixed a ship-doubling bug that was causing LOTS of wrong issues, and that should fix this as well as a number of other issues. I'm marking a lot of things fixed, and if we see some variant of those again, then please let me know in a fresh report. Thank you!
