Summary0026221: Spire Expert Changes
DescriptionA new Shard Reactor Variant, that can/should use the same graphics with maybe a bit of flair or something to distinguish but esp. the same model. This allows for the fact that fuel is balanced for normal play, but in Spire games you need more. It would have the same requirements in terms of sockets etc. as a normal Shard Reactor, but provide fuel instead. Three variants for each of the fuel types; Shard Argon Refinery, Shard Xenon Refinery, etc. This also puts a little more pressure on the available resources for building other things in Spire, and is my best shot at making Expert 'Spire-Useful'.

FWIW Necromancer is still in 'yeah, not really Expert' territory.

Zeus kindly volunteered to handle beefing up the T-4 and T-5 ExoWar units, it was thought that this should be something grandfathered in HA when done. I *think* but am not sure that he was also going to look at the T-2 ones, as they vary all over the place.

One more point, I almost forgot: there was a desire to have more ExoWar units, fewer Golems/chaff in the Spire exos. Less important than the other parts of this in my view.

Yes, when you end up having large number of them come towards the end of Spire campaigns. But also, it was just the idea that ExoWar units are largely made for Spire - i.e., the higher-end ones you don't really see in other games for the most part - and then having it still be mostly Golems and only the very occasional T3 & up ExoWar unit rubbed some players the wrong way.

Could be implemented by a modder, but this is out of scope for me at the moment. Trying to focus down on my todo list, and I think we're to the point where the modes are doing what they should for most people.
