| Description | Setting the map type to "linked rings" gives an absurdly zoomed out preview of the galaxy in the lobby. The galaxy is so small in the middle of the screen that I can't make out individual planets until I zoom in. It also seems to rarely break more seriously on high planet counts with "extra satellites" turned on; I found a couple of seeds where it placed planets 100 times further out of the rest of the galaxy than the main galaxies radius. This makes the preview sometimes show a single line or nothing at all as its challenging to actually move the camera around to find the galaxy. See attached image for an example of this. | ||||

Update: Changing back to other map types after looking at linked rings kept the incredibly zoomed out issue. Upon restarting the game and investigating it seems somewhat inconsistent. It definitely seems to be the linked rings type that causes the problem at first (though it doesn't happen every time I randomise and regenerate the map) but once its zoomed out it seems to persist somewhat even if you then change to other map types. |

I think this is a duplicate of 0025317, which has been fixed for the next release. |
