Summary | 0025005: Zenith Architrave core territory issues
Description | Forgive me if I'm misunderstanding something but I believe the Architrave considers their home planet and adjacent planets their "core territory". It will start with only the one world and then take the adjacent planets after a while. Later it will do something with pioneers but that's not permanent. I think it should be clearer that settling AI planets that are going to end up being considered Architrave "core territory" due to being adjacent to the architrave homeworld is a stupid idea. I didn't realise it would be an issue until the architrave suddenly decided that it was going to get angry after I took an adjacent world from the AI. They seem to attack it with escalating strength indefinitely. Holding the world seems impossible so it just ended up being 20 unnecessary AIP with zero gain. As a related issue, I don't think structures like the zenith power generator/ major data centre which require being held long term should spawn on these planets as they are rendered basically unusable. Peace hacks work short term but I understand those to be a temporary arrangement so it can only be a constant drain on your hacking points and will never be possible indefinitely. If you can't hold these structures indefinitely then it's best not to hold them at all. If the intention is to have these structures not always be useable, then I would question what the point is of spawning them in and confusing players who can't figure out how they're supposed to hold them.

This behaviour is described in the faction description in the game lobby "This faction will essentially prevent you from accessing a region of the galaxy unless you want some major battles (for example, i\t might make some Data Centers, ARSs or other valuable capturables much harder to take)." |
I concur with the current behavior. Capturables spawning in Architrave territory is a feature, not a bug. It's part of their proper impact on the game IMO. |
The described behaviour here is "just how the ZA works" |
The change I made to the quiesce duration should help with this too |
