Description | I remember in AI war 1 getting some good bang for my buck out of a super terminal. Granted im newish to ai war 2 but a pretty good RTS player in general and played a lot of AI war 1. In our multiplayer game we gathered about 1000 fleet power and hacked the terminal. We got around 20 AP reduction out of it which is the same as a regular easy to kill data center and unleashed around 1300 size retaliation. If this is the design of this and its more a bonus AP reduction then something that should net great gains if you put enough turrets and work on it, then thats fine. | ||||

Superterminal hacks are something you try to do very early on with minimal hacking against the AI before you attempt. Once you are in the mid-game stretch the best you can hope for is usually 30-40 AIP reduction, especially on higher difficulties. It scales hard with both AIP and previous hacking response upgrades. |

What CRC says is true. What difficulty are you on? That makes a big difference as well. My most recent superterminal hack was under favorable conditions, but it ended with over 70 AIP reduction and I could have gone higher. It's definitely possible if well-planned to get a considerable return. |

That game was 7. I didn't realize it gets harder the more other hacking you have done. |

Wait, very early on? I don't think I've ever even seen a superterminal that soon into the game. |

How close it is, will be highly random and vary a great deal based on map type. I've seen it unreachable until well into midgame, I've also seen it three hops away from my starting system. Far more often, it can be reached before you get to 100 AIP just as a number to throw out there, if you commit to trying to do that. So it's just quite variable. |

Yep, early on in terms of you want to deepstrike for these if you have to. |
