Issue eventually stopped happening after a couple of reboots. Seems to be related to resetting to default after enabling settings/factions. Exact repro steps: 1. Select Quick Start 2. Select "The Full Badger" 3. Select "Edit Setup" 4. Select "Reset to defaults 5. Select "Quit" to return to the Main Menu 6. Select "Custom Start"; note the error popup |

I've hit this sometimes during some development tonight. I was doing the "compile/start game/start new game/wait 20 seconds/quit game/edit code" loop, and saw it maybe 2 or 3 times in a night of coding? So seems like some sort of race. |

I've also seen several times where the game would just outright crash when starting a new custom game |
