Summary0024438: Spire cities mark up too fast.
DescriptionSo this is apparently where the recent spire Issues likely came from.

See the screenshot: when you swap units with a spire city around, every spire unit (including unbuilt ones) show up as valid to shiplines to.

Odds are the mark-up problems are caused by this.

Further information and data on the spire cities issues.

At 3 cities, everything work. When the 4th city is built then both the 2nd and 3rd city mark up. This gives you 6 slots (2+2 from mark II and +2 from the new city), when it should be four. Unless I am badly wrong somewhere.

I have provided a save below, seconds before the 4th city is built from a relic. You can use it to investigate the problem.

Those aren't flagships, those are ship lines within the spire fleet. I will have to make it not include those, for sure.

Okay, part 1:

* Fixed a bug where mobile support fleets were able to swap ship lines between fleets. Not sure how recent that is.
** Also fixed a bug where the spire city lines could be swapped between fleets. Again not sure how recent that is.

You know what? I should change how these work so that they no longer auto-upgrade in general. Instead, these should have an explicit upgrade button so you can choose which one you can upgrade, and there should be a top of the screen notification when an upgrade is available. That would solve a lot of confusion that players can have in general. And it would make absolutely sure that the one you want upgraded actually does get upgraded.

Along with this, the hacking for more sockets thing.

And maybe hacking to slow relic trains, per NullZwei.

Got it all!

* On the fleets sidebar popout, for any ship lines that have only a single entry, it now lists the details of the specific ship if there are any.
** This is immediately useful for seeing the spire city details from hovering over the city hub entry in a given fleet, or for seeing flagship info on any fleet.

* The city-specific information for the fallen spire no longer requires you to unpause the game before it can be viewed.

* The tooltips for why a specific spire city can or cannot be upgraded are now way more explicit and clear on what is needed for this exact one.

* Spire cities no longer upgrade in an automated fashion at all.
** For one, that was often happening in a strange way that was not correct.
** For two, it was denying players the ability to choose which city would upgrade when multiple were possible, which was greatly annoying to them.
** Instead, now at the top of the screen you see a notification with the Informational level of priority when you can upgrade spire cities. Clicking on it will actually do the upgrade.
