Yeah, this... seems pretty accurate. On AOE explosions, I suppose that we could check to see if something like "if my parent ship is tractored, then its tractor source is automatically in range." But I think I'd rather chalk this up to being a unique weakness of this particular kind of ship. The ability to aim your gun more properly and fire down the tractor beam makes sense to me. But the ability to have your explosive range expand and hit a specific target out of range -- but not all the other things in that wider range -- doesn't make thematic sense to me. This is funky for sure and not something I'd thought about, but it seems in keeping with how I'd expect this to work. |
