| Description | For visible threat, etc: https://steamcommunity.com/app/573410/discussions/0/2966147051986991391/#c2966147051990366811 There's a method in there for doing it, and it turns out that those textmeshpro helper tools are indeed present. We will probably want to manually turn on such things for text fields, aka having the text field trigger that to be enabled on itself, versus adding this sort of checking to every text field in the game. That would otherwise be too heavy. The need for that sort of testing and care, and particularly to make sure it handles scrolling and clipping areas properly, is a big reason for the delay. On these links, it should also say something like "click to go to planet" or whatever when you mouse over it, so that people understand they can do that sort of thing. I will likely have to expand the link capabilities to handle all that sort of thing. Or embed the function in a split faction in each link (target as the first part, then pipe and then the hover text, and read both with substring after). So it's a problem that is likely a day or more of work all on its own, but worthwhile for sure. That said, with the galaxy map filters becoming more and more of a thing, potentially big long lists of things might eventually become a thing of the past. That's hard to say. | ||||
