Summary0024182: Tsunami CPA Unexpected Behavior
DescriptionNote to anyone looking at this; Civilian Industries are on in this save. This is 15 seconds before a Tsunami CPA launches, in the 360-380 strength range. Sometimes it seems they don't all attack but some just disappear after a while. They are also definitely not dividing up and attacking all planets or anything close. Farflung gets hit first and hardest consistently; Ripcord (not the right spelling but it's what I call it) will get a smaller dose, a couple other planets trace amounts. Most of my systems bordering the AI are ignored. My main concern is what happens to the AI units that never attack - I think given the 150 AIP and difficulty 7 turtle, close to 400 strength isn't a bad try. It wouldn't be fun to deal with if I didn't have Civilians around. Unless the design has changed though, they should be attacking more planets as well.

CPAs aren't required to hit everything, they are allowed to focus their efforts on targets that seem best.

Ahh ok, I thought Tsunamis were designed to hit close to everywhere based on the description given when implemented. In that case that part of it isn't an issue.

Depending on the difficulty CPAs will be more or less focused on easier-to-kill targets
