Summary0023540: Saves refusing to load in one of my games.
DescriptionFor some reason, the game I'm currently playing doesn't seem to be able to create valid saves - existing saves can be loaded fine, but saves made in the current version, including autosaves, fail to work and throw an exception. This does not affect at least some of my older games (though I have not tested exhaustively), saves that work can be created in those just fine, so perhaps the issue is a minor faction that is present in this but not in the others I looked at? I have done a steam file validation, no effect. An error sample:

Also getting hit by this. Have a game where the only additional factions beyond the AI are Scourge and Marauders. Save is straight up refusing to load.

I too have loading problems with the new version. I did enable the Spire Railgun Shop mod. In reverse chronological order:
The 'Midden 10' save was made directly after loading the 'Midden10a' save and does not load.
The 'Midden 10a' save loads without problems.
The 'Autosave36900' does not load.
The 'Autosave36000' does not load.
The 'Midden 9' save loads, but gives an exception.
The 'Autosave35100' loads properly.

I also attached a part of the debuglog ('LoadLogs') where I tried to load 3 saves in the following order: 'Midden 10', 'Midden 9', and 'Midden 10a'.

* Fixed a deserialization bug in the prior version that made any games saved with a dyson sphere in them not able to be loaded if they were saved in the prior version.
** The nature of the issue was such that those savegames will now load without issue, thankfully.
