|Summary||0023502: environemental effects|
|Description||Just a reminder for chris to explore these ideas sometime soon. possibly for dlc 3. these would be environmental effects that can happen on any gravity well that effect everyone present.|
Asteroid field: speed of all ships are slowed down to dodge asteroids, unless they are already moving that slow.
Ion storm: shields don't work
Nebula: range is reduced, units with infinite range uints only able to target half the planet's diameter
Corrosive cloud: ships without active shields and have armor under a certain amount take damage over time
Magnetic anomaly: an invincible structure in the middle of the grav well slowly pulls units into it. Doesn't do much damage (if at all) itself.
Pulsar star: all ships under a certain albedo are paralyzed periodically
ambient power: All ships tune into the ambient power, speeding themselves up.
void: Lack of interference from anything nearby allows units to shoot farther slightly.
ship graveyard: all the wreckage hanging around gives anything stationary cloaking.
Solar charge: Ships power their shields to 150% with the assistance of a nearby star.
