DescriptionI installed Beta 2.043 and on attempting to generate a random map, I encountered the screenshotted error. The error repeats every time I randomize the map or click to select a different starting system.

Interestingly, this doesn't actually stop me from starting a new game, but it does mean that instead of a normal human starting system, the human command station spawns literally on top of an AI command station, in an AI system, as shown in the second screenshot.

If relevant; I note that I'd previously been running a modded version of the game (2.032 using Civilian Industry), but the error persisted after removing the mod and reinstalling the game, stopped when I downgraded to unmodded 2.032 and reset all settings to default (I was able to generate a world just fine there), and returned when I re-updated to unmodded 2.043, so I'm inclined to think that it's not the mod at fault. If nothing else, there certainly *shouldn't* be anything a mod can do to break the game that persists through uninstalling and reinstalling the game.

So with this, it was something to do with your map settings, and what would have been persistent is the file PlayerData\Save\_Internal\LastLobbySettings.save.

Whatever was going on in there was causing this issue, probably just the specific seed you had as well as some other factors, but I'm not sure what. If you or anyone else runs into this again, having your LastLobbySettings.save from while the problem is happening would be really useful. Also the ArcenDebugLog.txt from PlayerData.

I deleted the entire AI War 2 folder after uninstalling, as a precaution.

To be clear, this wasn't a momentary error that has since gone away; I did a fresh install, leaving no residual files from the previous version (none that were in the steamapps\common\AI War 2 folder, at least, since I removed that folder completely after uninstalling), and had the error immediately. This happens not just on a specific seed, but on every map and every seed I've tried. Something is really broken, and it didn't come from the sources you mentioned. The problem goes away when I opt out of the beta (I can generate a world and start a new game without issue), and it comes back when I opt back in.

* Fixed a one-line error in the code in the last beta version, which led to any clicks to choose your home planet making it give you an error and then seed you on an enemy planet.
