Description | Apologies if this is the second one, I don't see my first report Upon starting a new single player game: - Home World is Neutral - Player starting assets do not spawn - Player Captureables do not seem to appear - AI assets seem to spawn Hope this helps | ||||

Does upgrading to the latest version help? Custom start or quickstart? |

Just to add on to this, Custom starts are defaulting to just the AI with no human player. Adding another human faction doesn't fix this, so effectively no new games can be started. The default human faction not being added in via the user's profile seems to be the source. |

Custom Starts are still usable if you Reset Defaults first. Quickstarts I don't know of a workaround for. |

Thanks! * Made the exports for data about factions in a game a lot more detailed. * Made it so that if you get a "no human king found" error, it also writes a report about what factions are there. * Fixed a bug during deserialization of savegames/quickstarts that made it so that you had duplicate copies of the WorldSetup used for the lobby and the long-term storage, and that in turn led to chaos like deleting players or other factions or creating many duplicate factions when starting a new quickstart. ** This bug has been in place since April 1st (go figure), but it wasn't really fully rearing its head until yesterday when some unrelated changes made it suddenly more apparent. ** In fact we even had a second copy of this error from the same day in a second spot for loading quickstarts, so it was really going crazy. ** This is less a case of "how did we break this yesterday" and more of a case of "how has this been working at all prior to yesterday for the two weeks prior?" |
