I can't reproduce this. If I don't enter a campaign name, it gives the usual message prompting me to enter one. If I do, quickstarts begin per usual properly. Nothing I do brings up anything saying 'no save selected' |
Hmmm... For me it's happends every time (I launch the game - quick start - type name - press start). But If I choose any scenario from the right side of the screen, then game starts without problems. |
Wait … you're trying to begin a quick-start without actually selecting one? Just tried that I get the message you do as well but … shouldn't it say something like that? I guess my question now is, how should this be improved? The game can't start if you haven't told it which scenario you want to play. |
This is definitely working as intended if your steps are: 1) Choose name 2) Press Start It should be: 1) Choose category (optional) 2) Choose a game to play from within the category (required) 3) Choose name (required) 4) Press Start (required) Or: 1) Choose category (optional) 2) Choose a game to play from within the category (required) 3) Press Lobby and edit it further 4) Enter name in lobby. 5) Press start in lobby. |
Thank you for clarification! The problem is my bad English. When I see the text "Select a save" I start to look for a "Load" button :) Maybe it's better to change the text to something like "Select a scenario" to help people like me? :) One more minor thing: 1) Open Quick start menu 2) Choose a game to play from within the category 3) Choose name 3) Press "Back" 4) Open Quick start menu again All previous settings was saved. I can press start and it will work. But I can't see now which category was choosen (it looks like on the screenshot) |
Thanks! * Improved the wording in the quick start menu to say "no scenario selected" and similar, instead of "no save selected," so it's more clear what to do if you are having an error. |
Thanks! * Fixed an issue in the quick start window and in the load savegame window where your old settings would be kept, but invisibly, when you exited the screen but went back in. You'd still have a scenario/save selected, but not visible. |
