Summary0022834: On campaign launch, throws error and nothing is selectable
DescriptionStarted my first campaign today, worked great. Started a second, throws error on launch. Everything spawns in, but nothing is selectable either by hot key or mouse. Everything is running, units building, etc. Tabs work, can shift between planets and to galaxy map. However, any task requiring selecting a unit cannot be done. Makes game unplayable. Tried multiple launches, uninstall/reinstall after attempting to verify game files on steam (came back clean), restarted PC and restarted after uninstall before install, etc. Still throwing the error.

Here you go. I just noticed too that there is a red box in the upper right corner of the game window that says "null exception" after launching.

OK, so update, I deleted every file I could find from AIwar, but I couldn't find where ever it is saving the "profile". Even after reinstall, things like volume adjustments persisted. I uninstalled, changed version to "latest stable", and reinstalled. This forced a new profile creation, and the game now works under this new profile. I am assuming that something in the player profile became corrupted?

I have the same Problems. In Custom Play all is fine. But all quickstart scenarios have the null refference execption and all ships are tagged as: "Player not Controlled by Anyone!"

I have the gog version 1.333 so a reroll to latest stable as steam is not possible. even the deletion of Profiles in the Player Data folder does not fix it. Even with reinstall.

This should be fixed in the most recent 1.334. I think you'll need to wait for gog to get you the most recent version, which can take some additional time; Chris would know how long it usually is I expect.

Apologies! This is now properly live on GOG. I made a mistake in getting that patch out to GOG, and it wasn't appearing there. But it should be now.
