| Description | Forgive me if I'm misunderstanding the mechanic and this is functioning as intended. I hacked two tech vaults on adjacent or near-adjacent (can't remember) planets simultaneously - I was paused so they finished in roughly the same second. I noticed the hacking complete notification said I had obtained Generalist Level 2, then it popped up with the same message and a counterattack in a different system to the first. Now my generalist tech is actually *gone* from the tech menu completely. I've attached a save demonstrating this behaviour. | ||||

Did you wind up doing all the upgrades for Generalist? When a tech line is fully researched it disappears from view. |

Not manually, no. I think I was at level 2 before getting the two level 2 upgrades from the vaults. Although -- both times it said I received level 2 from each vault. So perhaps the actual bug is just a ui error in that it should have said level 3 and then level 4 rather than 2 each time. |

I think this is just a UI error here; if you were at level 2 and then upgraded twice then you'd have done all the Generalist levelups, so it would disappear. If you look at the tech log (click on the Science Icon in the resource bar) you should see both new upgrades in there. |

The UI bits no longer disappear, and you get more options now on what to unlock. Should no longer be possible to have this happen! |
