| Description | Given that multipliers on hack durations now with difficulty, this makes the Spire Libary hack take 45 Minutes to do Now, I'm prepared to do this duration of a hack for something ***REALLY*** awesome, but 8K science does not come close Proposal: 1) Reduce base time of hack to scale better throughout diff settings 2) Make Hacks have MAX duration length of X (15? 20?) minutes | ||||

This issue also applies to Dyson Sphere and Dark Spire hacks. Both grant ship line hacks take ten minutes on difficulty 8 on 007 compared to five minutes prior to difficulty scaling on hack times. Alternative suggestions: -Set certain hacks to not scale with difficulty. A flat 15 minutes for spire archive hacking and five minutes for the grant ship line hacks (the pre-scaling value) regardless of difficulty seems acceptable. Personally, the Dyson Sphere hacks aren't terribly difficult regardless of duration, but the Dark Spire hacks get significantly more difficult the longer they take. -Set Dyson Sphere and Dark Spire hacks to scale with that faction's intensity instead of AI difficulty. I have no idea how difficult this would be to implement, or if it would be worth the difficulty of implementation. ~Ryulong |

* Spire Archive Extraction hack now only takes 5 minutes at base, rather than 15. ** With higher difficulties getting longer durations, this could lead to...well, on Diff 10, an hour long hack. Yeah. ** Thanks to zeusalmighty and donblas for reporting. |
