Summary | 0022165: AI ships break command station under forcefield without damaging forcefield | ||||
Description | The AI sent some rogue raiders to attack a command station under 2 forcefields. I looked away for a second to get a fleet to deal with it, and when I look back, the command station is dead, and the forcefields are still at full health. If course processing breaks things this bad, something needs to be done. The AI (and crafty players) shouldn't be allowed to cheat ignoring forcefields. The whole point of them is to give you time to react. | ||||

A note onto this: Some in Discord have begun to turn off coarse background processing, as it appears to make the game easier for defense (their planets hold far better than if the player watches) if it's on, apparently. This also appears to extend to causing units going through forcefields. |

Thanks! * The forcefield protection planning was being run only intermittently on tier 2 planets, which include player forces that are not being monitored right now. Now it ONLY runs those intermittently on tier 3 planets (no players), and runs them continuously otherwise, so as to never run into cases where enemies could get off a few shots at something of a player that was being protected by a forcefield. |
