Description | "You can still merge ship lines with a ARS hack" You know, we added that as an experimental thing -- Badger was adding in ARSes and it made sense. But it seems to cause a general desire for merging and splitting, so I'm thinking that needs to go for the sake of consistency. If someone throws that on mantis that would be welcome." | ||||

THAT said, maybe a cleaner way for us to get what we want is a new structure that doesn't merge any lines, but gives ship cap boosts to whatever you have, instead. Then it isn't a matter of "sometimes you can merge, but usually not," but instead there's a thing that is "rare but makes the lines of a given fleet a lot larger. |

I mean, cap increases are already available through the Coordinators, but maybe they're too rare to be useful? The coordinators could be split up by technology instead of by ship category. Instead of having 3 coordinators that increase caps by 1.3x, there could be X coordinators (I think there's 10 weapon technologies?) that increase the cap by 1.5x for instance. That way, there would be more coordinators ( a larger chance one spawns near you ) and it'd be a more specialized capture than just "see an intragalactic coordinator, capture an intragalactic coordinator". |

Hopefully this has been defused some, now. As far as cap increases go, I'd like for those to be specific to fleet lines at the hacker fleets, though. Basically making this ONE fleet more powerful, not all parasites at all fleets or whatever. |
