| Description | This presupposes a change so that all fleets whether custom-built or found have the same number of slots from the start. - Show the fleets you're transferring to/from side-by-side (show two Fleet screens, basically). A drop-down and some left/right or up/down navigation keys let you change the fleet you're transferring to. - When you pick the source slot on the source panel, the corresponding slot on the target panel highlights. A symbol appears to indicate whether this will result in a transfer (target slot is empty) or a swap (target slot is full). Benefits of this: - No more huge list of ships you can swap with, which you have difficulty associating spatially and visually with their owning fleet - now you can see all other ships in the fleet as context, which is much more telling than a name. - See right away what both fleet's composition will look like. Adjust things and do further transfers from the same screen while keeping a visual continuity. - No more "transferring empty slots" which nobody finds intuitive. | ||||

Unless I'm missing something it's pretty much already the case? Transfer all units into custom fleets and there you have it, unlimited slots. You won't get much more than 9 attack fleets in a single game, and the fleets with limited slots can be used to dump anything you don't want to bring to the frontline. |

Fleets having the same amount of slots seems to be overwhelmingly supported in Discord. |
