Description | When the black widow golem is set to pursuit mode and captures a group of units with its tractor beams, it will attempt to get closer to the captured units: this will fail, as the units are kept at the same distance from the golem by the golem's own tractor beams, and the golem will waste time. As far as I can tell, the golem can still shoot at the tractored units, so increasing weapon range above tractor range might not solve this. The issue can happen even when no other enemy unit is on the planet, so it's not like the golem is chasing after something else. | ||||

What sort of behaviour is preferrable? Should the golem just sit there once it has captured a bunch of ships? |

I think the golem should pretend the tractored ships don't exist when planning movement: after all, no matter where he goes those ships will remain in range of his weapons, and that way he'll be able to pursue other targets, possibly capture more ships, and generally stay in the fight. Feel free to correct me if I'm missing something. |
