I don't know about this. People just ended up clearing AI worlds then letting Marauders come in, shoot up the station, then take all the Science for themselves with no AIP cost. You could do the same with the Nanocaust. You also gain Hacking with this, which means you can do Science Extraction for even more reward with no AIP. If you still want it I'll do this, it's just really obvious to abuse. I think it would get worse with the suggested Hack to steal a Fleet. You could probably coast through bits of the game with this. |

I'm in agreement with Puffin on this. Seems very tempting to abuse. |

We could give an "Against Planet" science extraction hack that costs 5 AIP to get all the science (and then capturing the planet would only incur 15 AIP)? Overall the balance for allowing minor factions to take planets from the AI, and the subsequent consequences might need to be thought out a bit more clearly. |

Add a new hacking mechanism to allow extracting Science from neutral planets. It currently costs 5 AIP as well as a few hacking points. However, this AIP is part of the "AIP for taking a planet". So if you killed the command station there's actually no AIP cost (since you paid it when killing the command station). If another faction destroyed the command station then it will cost 5 AIP, but if you eventually capture the planet it will only cost 15 AIP when you capture instead of 20. |
