Summary0021128: Intel reports highlight already-captured fleets and battlestations
DescriptionOn the intel sidebar, if you mouse over a "Claim flagship/battlestation on <planet>" entry, it lights up all planets containing a flagship or battlestation of the same type. This seems fine, except that it lights up those planets even if you've already captured the flagship or battlestation in question. See https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/817876755323053248/33FCC8D061F4274AD90656E4135CAFB5EE5716EC/ : I have a revealer battlestation on Norg, so it's getting highlighted along with the stations I can actually capture.

I'm really surprised by this, because the Intel is only looking at Flagships/Battlestations that are neutral. The picture uploaded isn't available.

Whoops, it parsed the colon as part of the URL. I fixed it in the description.

Any chance you have a save game with this?

I don't think this is a bug. Why is it bad that it also lights up planets where you already have such units? Clicking on the objective will center you on the capturable unit.

Note that it also will highlight similar units that are also not captured. So if you are checking out the objective to capture a given Citadel and mouse over it, it will be able to tell you (for example)"You already have one of these, there are 2 others you can capture, this objective is for This Particular One". This sounds like a good thing.

If it's a bug, it's a problem with the "hovering units in galaxy map lights up planets" code, not the intel screen.

Fair enough. I interpreted the highlighting as "here are all of the planets where I can capture another one of these units", so I was confused, but if it's meant to be "here's all of the planets that have another unit of this type" then that makes sense too.
