Summary0021082: Wild card slots on fleets
DescriptionA discussion on Discord started by Someone64 got me thinking about the new fleet setup. It would be very interesting to have (at least some) fleets contain a "wild card" slot that could be filled by one of a small selection of units. This would be a one-time choice and make the selection a permanent part of the fleet. It gives a player a chance to select a unit that brings capabilities currently lacking in their fleet or double-down on something very useful like siege weaponry for cracking tough fortifications. Perhaps it could also be tied to the research system and be unlocked when upgrading a fleet centerpiece.
