| Description | The title. For some reason, when zoomed out these effects do nothing to your FPS, but zooming in can cause lots of problems. For my computer (Ryzen 1500x / Nvidia 760), it drops the simulation speed to 65% with max zoom and a full cap of tech level 2 grenade launcher ships. | ||||

By zooming in on intense effects and asking the GPU/CPU to render them in detail, you are putting more load on the system, so it slows down.... |

It just seems odd, this is the only effect that does this and it doesn't seem that taxing. I know bloom can cause some slowdown when intense, but it seems like a bit much. |
