There are missile turrets - they cover at least the vast majority of the planet.

I had that backwards. The AI turrets are fortified Tesla Turrets, which means they can't be hit by units that aren't close to them. All of your turrets are really far away from the tesla turrets.

Ah, derp. I somehow forgot that those have dampening.

Perhaps we need to give units with dampening some sort of additional visual effect to make it more obvious? Otherwise other people will get confused on this point, and making a player hover over dozens of structures to understand what's going on isn't good

Well, the obvious reason is that you were confused and opened a bug report for something that's working normally. It's not good if your players get confused like that. If we give units with Dampening some kind of additional visual cue then it will hopefully prevent such confusion.

In last update my ships attacked enemy tesla with 0 damage. But right now, i know about ability, so it may not be very necessary.

Closed: Not problem, simply misunderstanding. The idea about an indicator for it is good, however.
