Summary | 0020007: Units don't seem to take damage bonus into account for targeting logic
Description | The new Tritium Snipers so far have been drastically overkilling targets that they get bonuses against, with 36 turrets firing on only 3-4 ships. I think this is because they don't consider their damage bonus against low albedo targets. MK2 Tritium Sniper has 800 damage, and a bonus of 9x against low albedo. This should be enough to one shot many fleetships, but again they're really focusing. Makes them drastically less effective.

Thanks! * Fixed a bug with incorrect overkill detection against squad-based ships since the start of the era of discovery. * The game now rigorously keeps track of the amount of attacker damage looking at a given entity, rather than the count of attackers. ** This is now used in order to prevent massively overkilling targets, and is now used in place of the "even out attackers" logic to make it so that it's "even out damage" instead. Or in the case of priorities, evening out the damage after choosing not to overkill. |
