Summary0019964: Consistently lowered performance - 88-90% for a long time now, noticeable stops (Nanocaust)
DescriptionTwo hours in, and for a fair while it's been laggy. Game is using about 2GB of RAM, which I recall being double that from when it started. Starcraft 2 for instance uses that much. Using 31% of my CPU capacity as well, which is fairly similar I think.

I get random lag stutters as well. (EDIT: After game restart, getting micro stutters consistently every second. Can time it almost like clockwork, with an actual clock).

Er, holy crap, I just used Scout All (was wanting to do a full proper game but in the interest of bug finding...) and there's a planet full of Nanocaust ships, and another full of Dark Spire, both idling. The Nanocaust has a ton of Frenzy targets queued up as well, that showed up when I Scout All'd.

Game was restarted, and the RAM usage is about 1500MB, and CPU is around 35% minimum, 38% max, if that helps.

Okay -- excellent to know, thanks! It may be that we need to do something with the minor factions that are in the background so that they don't take up so much CPU, but this also is a good chance for us to simply focus on improving the core performance in combat in general, anyway.

This may or may not be a thing anymore, but probably stacks solves it, and if not we'll need a new post-0.850 save to test and debug against. A LOT has changed. Thanks!
