Description | Original from https://forums.arcengames.com/ai-war-ii-modding/ship-weapon-gfx-multiple-ship-weapons/msg217448/#msg217448 Credit to swizzlewizzle for idea. 1. A way to sit there and look at the ship (presumably the test chamber). 2. And have it draw some temporary widges (little balls or whatever -- I can do this easily) to show the emission points 3. And then to have it so that we can reload JUST these super-only-cosmetric pieces of info from xml, and not destroy everything else, for this and future xml-definied pieces of info like this. 4. And then I have some small, simple math to do to make them actually emit from those points, but that's easy. | ||||

Consider for later: https://forums.arcengames.com/ai-war-ii-modding/ship-weapon-gfx-multiple-ship-weapons/msg217470/#msg217470 with which emission point is closest to the target, since assumedly that would be the one that is facing the target. For some of the big forward-facing guns in particular that would be wrong, though, so if there was a secondary offset I'd say it would be "for choosing-a-specific-firing-source" purposes, pretend I'm actually in this offset location from where I am now. That ought to handle all of the cases in the lowest-possible CPU usage way. |
