Summary | 0019119: Two arks on a planet!
Description | I had started a new game with minimal mods (just a few extra starting ship types). I sent a force to the planet adjoining my start planet, and I saw a weird graphical artifact; a second Ark! I immediately saved, then tabbed to the galaxy screen and back, but it was gone, and on reload the ark was gone as well. This is definitely not a multiplayer game. The save game will not include the extra ark, but I include it just in case.

I saw this again. I'm not precisely sure what input clicks proceeded this. One of the arks is controllable, the other is just stationary, but selecting one of them causes the other to show up as selected as well. I was in the middle of sending a fleet from one planet to the other. Ctrl had been recently held, and I was also maybe holding shift to make sure the ships were going where I wanted, if that helps trying to reproduce. Save/reload makes it go away. |

I've seen this by: 1) putting an ark near a wormhole 2) saving the game 3) reloading the game 4) while still on the galaxy map, before going to planet view, press 8->2 to select the Ark 5) right-click the planet whose wormhole the ark is next to (that is, give it a move order to go through that wormhole, without having switched to planet view) 6) wait a moment for the ark to move through the wormhole 7) left-click on the ark's new planet 8) observe double-ark 9) tab to galaxy map and then back to planet 10) observe single-ark |

I have also seen this, for me it didn't go away upon tabbing in and out of the galaxy map and I made no modifications to the game beforehand. After spawning in the first map the game gave me, which was some clusters map, I took over the planet I was on and eventually moved on to a different one via pressing tab and right clicking the planet I wanted my ships to move to. I noticed afterwards the Ark left an uncontrollable Ark that didn't do anything. I tabbed out to the galaxy map and back a few times but no change, it was still there. Eventually I had to quit the game and I didn't know how to save games in AI War 2 (just got my EA key) so I don't have a save file to give. |
