Description | Cutlasses are doing on the order of 30,000 damage per hit per ship, making them instant death machines against any stationary target and impossible to defend stations against. Mark 2's do 28,400, Mark 3's do 36,400, shouldn't this be about 5X less? | ||||

5X less is the Viral Shredder, unlike that thing the cutlass gets weaker with each attack and against harder targets is practically a kamikaze unit. |

Actually the shredders are 20x less (Mk 1 Shredder = 1000 damage, Mk 1 cutlass = 19200 damage!), and while I can appreciate that cutlasses need to do more damage to offset their "kamikaze" aspect in their present form they're much, much too powerful. Game-breakingly so, IMO. |

Agreed - cutlasses are way out of balance. Just survived a large CPA and rebuilt my defenses only to have a station wiped out on my most heavily fortified planet by a small, very small, fleet of cutlasses! (approx. 10 to 30 of them - did it in under 10 sec from system entry) And yes - I had flak cannons |

I suggest just giving them 0.1 damage against command. |

* Cutlasses now have a heavy penalty against command grade hulls, and their attack power (and health) have also been significantly reduced. |
