Summary0009664: AI Bombers tend to wake up and be alerted (but not freed) very early, and not other ships
DescriptionWhen attacking a planet, there is a high chance the bombers in AI hands will wake up, be alerted, try to attack you, but not truly be freed. Thus, they try to attack your, but are "pulled" back if they go too far as they have not been freed and thus still "tethered" to what they are guarding. From what I understand, this is intended behavior for ships that have been awakened, alerted, but NOT freed.

The thing that got me to report this is that other ship types don't seem to do this. Only bombers do this consistently. Other ship types are content to just stay in stand-down mode, or just sit to whatever they are guarding even if they are not in stand-down mode.

This issue, if im not mistaken, is an old holdover from the "all bombers respond to heavy defense in system". The idea being, if you poke a forcefield through the wormhole (not possible anymore), the ENTIRE planet's bombers respond to it.

I think this extends to mobile forcefields (riot/spire/champion), which is where the problem is.

(then again, im pretty sure this issue has been reported before and fixed, so I might just be wrong)
