Summary | 0000959: AI Eye description (AI sends waves even though there is no warp gate at the sending planet)
Description | I've got a planet in the middle of nowhere that happened to have both an advance factory and two ion cannons, meaning it'd be a pretty perfect defensive position. To nullify the 24x wave size, I took out the warp gates on the four neighbouring planets. The AI still sent waves from at least two of those planets though. I did notice that both the planets that I got waves from had AI Eyes though; do they act like warp gates, even if it's not specified in the description? I'm going to try to take out all the AI Eyes around the planet to see if that makes any difference at all, but due to the random element when it comes to waves, it's not really conclusive anyway...

Bleh, ignore this. Just noticed the one little line that says "Warp Gate (Full)"... Just a case of me being temporarily illiterate, I suppose. Although a little more clarification in the flavor text would also be nice, if you ask me. |

I tend to agree. That little ability is easily missed, but I think it's good that they act as gates. It makes them a MUCH more potent obstacle than if they only acted like an anti-blob measure. |
|
Switched this around as a suggestion and changed its description to match the issue at hand. |
|
Bear in mind that if you use the Hostile Wormholes overlay on the galaxy map, it's really clear where there are remaining warp gates, etc. |

Thinking about this more, I actually put in this change: * When players have scouted a planet, forever after it will include counts in the upper-left alerts window whenever there are enemy warp gates (reinforce or warp) at a planet. This should greatly help with player confusion on a number of fronts, the most frequent of which is the AI Eyes in recent times. |
