Description | I had a mercenary dock get 'stuck'. A ship had 0:00 left and it never actually spit out, never cycled to the next ship in the looped queue, and all the FRD engineers stayed on it. I had plenty of resources and only a couple mercenary ships built. I tried pausing (the engineers all went elsewhere), and unpausing it (the engineers came back) but it did not continue building. I had to clear the current ship from the queue before it would continue on. | ||||

Welcome and thanks for the report can you look in your AIWAR\RuntimeData folder for some error text files like: UnhandledErrors.txt ErrorsReportedByEngine.txt AIErrors.txt Also where did you get the game? Steam etc. Thanks |

None of those files exist. The game was beta download shortly after the first public beta, patched up continuously. I also have the steam current update and starting a brand new game, I put every ship in the queue on a loop and it made 4 before stopping. I checked the steam RuntimeData and there are no error files in this install either. |

Are you sure it wasn't an energy shortage? Some of those merc ships require quite a lot. |

Nevermind, I saw your screenshot. Do you have a save that can duplicate this? |

I will get a savegame for you tonight (the game doesn't work in my VirtualBox at work with the new engine ... sigh). Steps to reproduce: (I did this twice last night, once via a fresh steam install still in trial mode and once on my normal install with the 2 expansions) Start new game, default settings. Click on the merc doc, set to loop, and add one of each ship to the loop. Set engineer FRD and he runs to assist dock (I'm not sure if the engineer is necessary to reproduce) The first couple ships in the queue are produced. Then the 3rd or 4th finishes the countdown but sticks at 0:00 and never leaves the dock. Engineer continues to assist the dock indefinitely. Right click that queue entry to remove from queue, next few ships work just fine but it eventually sticks again. |

I attached a savegame that exhibits the problem, saved using the procedure above. I checked and it is still suck after loading. This was on Steam-downloaded copy upgraded to 4.022 |

Ok, it's fixed for 4.023. It was because the "Available Ships" lobby setting would normally prevent you from getting the base types of the ships (Simple prevents EtherJets and Beam Frigates, etc); now the mercenary dock will ignore that setting. |
