Description | Considering you lose the game if you lose the command station it really shouldn't die that easily. Currently a Siege Starship (even at Mk I) can destroy it with one shot when the forcefields are down (and during larger attacks you'll likely lose enough generators across your territory that it's impossible to keep the force field going, especially now that low power mode has been removed) and they have enough range that they can hit the station from most wormholes. That means once the power is off you will lose the game the moment a Siege Starship enters your home system. You also lose most other stations instantly but at least you can rebuild those cheaply. | ||||

Sounds about right to me. Don't leave your king open to being checkmated. Have redundant power sources, have multiple force fields, and have defense in depth so that hopefully starships are never even on your home planet after the early game. |

Redundant power sources aren't really feasible since the efficiency goes down (and multiple generators in attacked systems won't do much, ten die as easily as one). With large attacks I mean stuff like CPAs or a massive Neinzul Enclave rolling across your territory, basically wrecking every system that isn't heavily fortified and with the ship caps it's not really feasible to fortify every system enough to stop these attacks before you lose power. The AI knows that raiding power is the easiest way to get around forcefields so redundant FFs won't do jack and often it's enough to lose some random systems in the middle of nowhere to lose enough energy production for a brownout. Also even a MkI AI command station gets 500k HP and our home command is only 300k? |

Okay, in 4.024: * Home planet command stations for the human players now have 2 million health instead of 300k. |
