Description | One of the most interesting aspects of the tutorial mission when on a harder platforming difficulty setting is that you are given a limit of only 30 wooden planks at a time. A chest replenishes this supply when you return to the surface. Scarcity makes you think before placing a plank.
However, once you reach settlement, this entire facet of the game becomes trivial. For a negligible fee at the opal stone, you can deck your character out with literally thousands of planks and boxes. Furthermore, you continue to get given planks and boxes as if they were scarce in stash rooms for the remainder of the game.
The suggestion is to actually cap plank and boxes carry capacity at 30 and then replace the little packs of planks and boxes in stash rooms with +5 bonuses to this capacity. Eventually, the numbers will become trivial again, but by that point you'll already be moving on to collecting multi-jump enhancements (double/triple/lightning/rocket) instead. Might make this part of the game somewhat more interesting while it lasts. |
